NEET UG 2019

NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) 2019 is the basis of admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. On the basis of NEET UG 2019, around 90,000 seats are offered to medical students by medical as well as dental colleges in India. NTA, National Testing Agency, will conduct NEET UG from 2019 onwards. NEET exam was being conducted by CBSE till 2018.

As per the latest NTA notification, the upper age limit for NEET 2019 has been removed. Candidates of 25 years or above can apply for NEET 2019 exam which is scheduled to be conducted on 5 May 2019. The last date to submit NEET application form is also extended by one week. Candidates can register for NEET Exam by 7 December 2018. NEET Form correction facility will be available from 14 January 2019 to 31 January 2019. NEET 2019 – Latest NTA Updates & Notifications

  • 29 November 2018 Update: Candidates of 25 years of age or above can apply and appear for NEET 2019 exam. NEET Registration Last Date Extended by one week i.e. 7 December 2018. Check NTA NEET Notification
  • 1 November 2018: As per latest NTA notification, NEET application 2019 are open till 30 November. The link to apply for NEET 2019 is available below.
  • 18 September 2018: NEET video lectures by IIT professors and subject experts has been released by NTA for clarifying the concepts of the particular subject.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2019

Students who want to apply for NEET UG must fulfill certain eligibility norms. Check the NEET Eligibility criteria 2019 below before applying for the exam.

  • Nationality:Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply for NEET 2019
  • Minimum Age: Candidates should be of at least 17 years on 31 December 2019.
  • Maximum Age Limit: The maximum age limit is has been removed by Supreme Court.
  • Aadhaar Mandate: Aadhaar number is not mandatory to apply for NEET exam
  • Qualification: Candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwD) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Appearing:Students appearing in Class 12 in 2019 are also eligible to apply for NEET, National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.

NEET Application Form 2019 will be released on 1 November 2018. Students can apply for NEET 2019 only through online mode. The last date to fill and submit NEET Application Form is 7 December 2018.

Steps to fill NEET Application Form

Step 1: Apply Online – Click on the link given above and click on ‘Apply Online NEET (UG) – 2019’

Step 2: Fill Up NEET Application Form – Fill the required details correctly including personal details, academic details, exam centre preferences, address etc.

Step 3: Upload Documents – Upload the scanned copy of passport sized photograph and signature.

Step 4: Make Fee Payment – Pay the NEET application fee through online mode, credit card, debit card, net banking or e-wallets to complete the application process.

Step 5: Download Confirmation – After successful payment, the confirmation page will be displayed. Take Print Out of the Confirmation page and keep it for the future use.

NEET Application Fee 2019

Without payment of application fee, the application form of NEET 2019 will not be accepted. Candidates can pay NEET application fee by Credit Card, Debit Card, net Banking, UPI or e Challan from State Bank of India

Documents Required for NEET 2019 Application Form

Before filling up the NEET application form, students are advised to keep the required documents ready. Without uploading documents, the application form will not be accepted. The required documents for NEET 2019 are:

  • Scanned Photograph (10Kb to 200Kb)
  • Scanned Signature (4Kb to 30Kb)

NEET 2019 Form Correction

NEET application form correction facility will start from 14 January 2019. NTA provides one time NEET form correction facility to ensure error-free applications. Candidates will be able to make corrections in certain fields like personal details, qualification details, exam centre choice etc. Students will have to log in to their account with registration number and password to make the corrections. The NEET form correction window will be open for a limited time period, i.e 31 January 2019.

NEET Admit Card 2019

Only students who have successfully submitted the application form will be able to get the admit card for NEET 2019. Students can download NEET admit card only through online mode. NEET Admit Card 2019 will be available from 15 April 2019 onwards. Students are advised to verify all the details mentioned in the admit card like name, date of birth, exam date, centre, and timings etc. In case of any discrepancy found in the admit card, contact with the officials immediately.

NEET Exam Pattern 2019

NEET Question Paper Medium/Language

  • Candidates can opt for NEET Question Paper in anyone of the languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.
  • Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only.
  • Candidates opting for Hindi would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet in English and Hindi.
  • Candidates should be very careful while choosing medium of question paper as exam centre will be allotted based on the language chosen.
  • Candidates opting for Regional languages would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet in selected Regional language and English.

NEET Syllabus 2019

NEET Syllabus 2019 comprises of 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The topics covered in NEET Syllabus are mainly from NCERT Class 11 and 12. Medical Council of India (MCI) prescribes the NEET Syllabus. As per the latest notification, NEET Syllabus and Exam pattern will be exactly the same as it was in 2018. NEET Answer Key 2019

NEET answer key 2019 will be released by various coaching institutes with in-depth solutions. As NEET will be conducted on May 5, 2019, therefore the NEET answer keys will be made available on the day of the exam itself. On the basis of these answer keys, students can calculate their probable score in the exam.

The official answer key of NEET 2019 will be released by NTA in the third week of May. The answer key will have the answers to the questions asked in the exam. With the release of NEET answer key, the OMR sheets will also be made available online. On the basis of the answer key of NEET UG, students can match their answers and calculate their marks before the declaration of the result. After the release of NEET answer key 2019, the students can challenge the answers. For challenging each answer, students will have pay Rs. 1000.

NEET Result 2019

NEET Result 2019 will be declared on 5 June 2019. Students who appeared in the NEET 2019 will be able to check result through online mode. The result of NEET UG will not be prepared category wise. After the NEET result declaration, there will be no re-evaluation of the answer sheets. NEET merit list will be prepared as per the guidance of DGHS, MCI and DCI. On the basis of NEET rank list/merit list, students will be invited for counseling.

NEET Cut Off 2019

NEET Cut Off is set by the authority in order to shortlist candidates for the counselling. Students have to secure the cut off marks to qualify the NEET 2019. The cut off will depend upon various factors like the number of candidates appeared in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, seats available etc. NEET Cut Off 2019 will be declared along with the result. NEET Counselling 2019

NEET Counselling 2019 will start tentatively from the second week of June 2019. Only those candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in NEET will be eligible for the counselling process. Students will have to register online with DGHS (The Directorate General of Health Services) and fill their preferences for course and colleges. The seat allotment will be based on the rank, category and  availability of seats in your chosen colleges. Once a seat is allotted, candidates have to report to the allotted college for further admission process.

Question: When NEET Exam 2019 will be conducted?

Answer: NEET 2019 will be conducted on 5 May, 2019 (Sunday) from 02:00 p.m to 05:00 p.m.

Question: Who can appear in NEET 2019?

Answer: Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals can appear in NEET 2019.

Question: I am appearing in Class 12. Can I apply for NEET 2019?

Answer: Yes, Class 12 appearing students are eligible to apply.

Question: Can I change the option of language once the NEET form is submitted?

Answer: No, Language cannot be changed after submission of NEET application form. As exam centres will be allotted based on medium of question paper, candidates need to be very careful in choosing the medium of question paper.

For example: Candidates choosing Kannada medium will be allotted exam centres only in the Centres/cities located in the State of Karnataka.

Question: What is the number of attempts for appearing in NEET UG?

Answer: Attempt bar has been removed by MCI (Medical Council of India). Now there is no attempt limit for NEET UG.

Question: I am an NRI Student. Can I apply without Aadhaar Card?

Answer: Yes, students can apply without Aadhaar Card. Fill the application form with any other valid ID proof.

Question: Do I need to send the filled NEET application form to NTA?

Answer: No, candidates are not required to send the application form or any other document to NTA.

Question: I am unable to download the admit card of NEET 2019, what should I do?

Answer: In case, aspirants cannot download the admit card or will not be issued the NEET admit card 2019, must contact NTA officials immediately.
