JEE Main 2020 (Jan) exam started from 6th January and will conclude on 9 January 2020. The exam will be held at different centres located in 233 cities throughout the country and abroad. On 6th January, The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted JEE Main 2020 (Jan) Paper 2 for B.Arch/ B.Planning aspirants. The exam was conducted in two shifts i.e. morning shift (09:30 am to 12:30 pm) and evening shift (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). As per the TOI Report, a total of 1,38,409 candidates registered for B.Arch at 345 centres and 59,003 for B.Planning at 327 centres.

JEE Main 2020 Answer Key Released by NTA – Challenge Answer Key @jeemain.nta.nic.in
Students appeared for the JEE Main 2020 (Jan) exam were eagerly waiting for the answer key and solutions to calculate their potential scores. For all the students appeared for the exam, NTA has uploaded JEE Main Answer Key along with Question Paper on the official website. The facility to challenge answer key is open. To download or Challenge JEE Answer Key, students need to login with their Application Number and Date of Birth/Password.
JEE Main 2020 (January) – Exam Analysis
9th January, JEE Main 2020 Exam Analysis
Candidates appeared for the exam on 9th January shared that the difficulty level of the exam was “easy to moderate”. Chemistry was the easiest section among all. Majority of the questions were based out of NCERT. Mathematics was little bit tough as well as tricky. Students found chemistry and mathematics lengthy.
8th January, JEE Main 2020 Exam Analysis
Candidates appeared for the exam on 8th January (morning shift) shared that the difficulty level of the exam was moderate. Some questions were similar to previous year questions.
- Chemistry section was the easiest among all sections. 12-13 questions were from Inorganic Chemistry.
- Physics section was of “expected difficulty level”. 6-7 Ques from Optics & Modern Physics and 5-6 quest from Mechanics.
- Mathematics section was of Moderate level but a bit lengthy. 8-10 Questions were from Calculus.
7th January, JEE Main Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech
As per the initial feedback from students appeared for JEE Main Paper 1 (first shift), the difficulty level of the exam was easy to moderate. There were total 75 questions (20 questions + 5 numerical value questions in each subject) consisting of total 300 marks. The students told that the difficulty level of all the three subjects ( Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) were quite similar.
- Physics – Moderate. A Bit Lengthy. Few questions were of mixed concept type.
- Chemistry – Easiest, Most questions from NCERT especially Inorganic Chemistry. Almost Syllabus Covered.
- Mathematics – Most questions from calculus and coordinate geometry. No Ques from height and distance in trigonometry.
6th January 2020, JEE Main Paper 2
According to the students who appeared for the B.Arch/ B. Planning exam, overall difficulty level of the JEE Main exam was difficult to Moderate. Mathematics was the toughest section and aptitude test was the easiest section in the exam. The drawing test was average but time taking. Some students highlighted that the number of Maths questions decreased to 25 this year (which was 30 last year). Overall it can be concluded that the difficulty level of the exam was average.
